Vale of Mowbray and Vale of York Road Routes

Hand Built Wheels Specialist and a real Local Bike Shop

Sweeping bends through winding lanes

That wonderful stretch of land between the Yorkshire Dales and the North Yorks Moors is a cycling mecca. Rolling and twisting lanes, short sharp climbs, and some long flat stretches make every ride a good trip out.

We thought that this great area deserved its own section on our website so that you too can enjoy some of the great cycling on offer. This is part of Herriot country -  make no mistake. James Herriot (Alf Wight) worked from nearby Thirsk, and the myriad of farms and winding lanes will make you want to come back time and time again. The variety and the views are endless. The Dales in one direction and the Moors in the other, whilst  Sutton Bank awaits the brave who want to extend a ride onto the Hambleton Hills.

Enjoy the routes as this area of the site grows, and when you're done riding pop into Moonglu and seek out some bike porn, and chew the cud with the guys that get to ride this area every day.
