West Yorkshire and South Pennines Road Routes

Steep climbs and twisting lanes across barren moors with expansive views all around -

welcome to the West Yorkshire and the South Pennines

Road cycling in the West Riding of Yorkshire and the South Pennines requires good climbing skills and a taste for long routes. Roads cross wild moorlands and can be a daunting place in winter; but once mastered, you'll be in cycling heaven, in the UK centre of road cycling.

Get yourselves along to towns such as Otley, Halifax, Hebden Bridge, Skipton (West Riding town!) and Haworth, where the roads will welcome you and lead you across the moors that have inspired writers and artists for hundreds of years, and explore their beauty by bike. We also want to cover areas all across the old West Riding of Yorkshire, leading from the southern edge of the Yorkshire Dales, all across this great county.

We'll be doing so in partnership with our friends at Chevin Cycles, the Otley based independent cycle store group, who know this area like it's home - because, to them it is!
