Yorkshire Dales Road Routes

The Yorkshire Dales. Home to the 2014 Tour de France 'Grand Depart! Lanes that twist and turn, and climb to spectacular views and epic descents.

Numerous national cycle routes flow through the Dales, and the new Way of the Roses Route sweeps right through it's heart,  allowing a stop off amongst wonderful countryside.

The variety and the views are endless. As you get into the deeper Dales, steep, lung-busting climbs such as the Buttertubs will test all riders. And yet, there are some wonderful family rides as well; such as the Yorkshire Water road from Lofthouse out towards Scar House, with a picnic to follow.

Or a ride around Malham Tarn with the kids, followed by an ice cream.

Yep, the Dales by road has everything. All you need is a set of wheels and a taste for adventure.

Go on - pedal north and enjoy some of what the Yorkshire Dales has to offer - by bike!
